Social media doesn't always portray reality, and Hadid has something to say about it.

In a candid post on Instagram, Hadid shared several teary-eyed selfies along with a crucial reminder for her followers.

"This is pretty much my every day, every night. For a few years now," Hadid wrote in the lengthy caption. "Social media is not real. For anyone struggling, please remember that."

Those who use social media often post the good times they have, rather than the moments they're struggling.

The 25-year-old's post serves as a reminder that just because people might seem like they're living their best lives online, it doesn't mean they aren't struggling behind closed doors.

"Self help and mental illness/chemical imbalance is not linear, and it is almost like a flowing rollercoaster of obstacles," Hadid wrote.

"But I want you to know, there is always light at the end of the tunnel, and the rollercoaster always comes to a complete stop at some point."

Also in her carousel post was a video clip from an interview with music artist WILLOW, who talks about society's collective struggle with mental health, and how no one is truly alone.

"People forget that everyone is basically feeling the same way: lost, confused, not really sure why they’re here. That anxiety, like, everyone is feeling that, and trying to cover it up in some way."

It's clear WILLOW's words hit home with Hadid, as she thanked the 21-year-old for her wisdom by writing, "I Love you and your words. It made me feel a little less alone."

At the end of the day, Hadid has proven that regardless of what our Instagram feeds look like, we're all enduring the roller coaster ride that is the human experience.
