Angelina Jolie makes explosive child abuse claims against Brad Pitt
Los Angeles, California - Angelina Jolie's legal fight with Brad Pitt escalated with a bombshell new filing that accuses him of abusing their children.
On Tuesday, the Maleficent star's explosive new complaint against her former spouse came to light.
According to People, the paperwork allegedly detailed that during the September 2016 flight, Pitt had also "choked one of the children and struck another in the face" and "grabbed Jolie by the head and shook her."
"When one of the children verbally defended Jolie, Pitt lunged at his own child and Jolie grabbed him from behind to stop him. To get Jolie off his back, Pitt threw himself backwards into the airplane's seats injuring Jolie's back and elbow," the filing reads.
"The children rushed in and all bravely tried to protect each other. Before it was over, Pitt choked one of the children and struck another in the face. Some of the children pleaded with Pitt to stop. They were all frightened."
Jolie accuses Pitt of blackmail and more abusive allegations
Jolie's legal filing goes on to say that, over the course of "many tense hours" on the flight, the Seven actor "periodically emerged from the back of the plane to yell and swear at them."
There's also a shocking claim that "at one point, he poured beer on Jolie; at another, he poured beer and red wine on the children."
Per the documents, Jolie alleged that she decided to make the countersuit after her ex tried to blackmail her into signing a gag order.
"Jolie has gone to great lengths to try to shield their children from reliving the pain Pitt inflicted on the family that day," the filing continued.
"But when Pitt filed this lawsuit seeking to reassert control over Jolie's financial life and compel her to rejoin her ex-husband as a frozen-out business partner, Pitt forced Jolie to publicly defend herself on these issues for the first time."
The cross complaint which was filed by the Original Sin star's lawyers also slammed the 58-year-old's June lawsuit that accused his ex-wife of causing "damage" to the reputation of their wine company Château Miraval.
The incident that took place during the alleged disastrous light is what led to the former pair filing for divorce.
