A$AP Rocky speaks on fatherhood amid welcoming new baby with Rihanna
London, UK- A new interview with A$AP Rocky has dropped, where he dished on being a first time dad amid welcoming a baby boy with Rihanna.
The rapper spilled on his hopes as a father while talking to the London-based magazine Dazed for its new summer 2022 issue.
Rocky, whose son was born on May 13, told the outlet what he wants to instill in his kids.
"I will always remind my children to never lose their imagination, even as adults, no matter what," the 33-year-old began.
"I actually love to watch cartoons. I've watched like Teletubbies, Blue's Clues, Yo Gabba Gabba, Peppa Pig, and Baby Shark."
Then, the star got more serious.
"I hope to raise open-minded children. Not people who discriminate," he said in the chat that took place just before his son arrived.
"And I’m not trying to describe a saint, but realistically, I just want a cool child with cool parents."
It shouldn't be too hard – given his parents are two of the biggest artists on the planet.
A$AP Rocky's next accomplishment: An award-winning father?
The interviewer commented that it "can’t be difficult" to be cool parents, since he and Rihanna "have already influenced a generation of creative young people."
The rapper replied: "It’s beautiful that we can even do that."
"Things like diversity and versatility are important, and they’ll be embedded in the household," he added.
We can't help but agree on the pair being epic role models, as the two have reshaped the entertainment industry with their respective careers - and as a power couple.
Earlier this year, the pop singer and the rapper surprised the world with the news that they were expecting their first child together. RiRi then raised the bar with her maternity looks prowess and her honesty over first-time motherhood.
It appears the new parents are keeping their new baby's name a secret for the time being – but it will most likely be one talented and gorgeous new addition!
