Waffle House fight video continues to trend as Twitter users name a new superhero
Austin, Texas - A video of a fight at Waffle House continues to make its rounds online, and many Twitter users are pointing out one particular employee's superhero-caliber reflexes.
You may have noticed Waffle House has been trending for the last 24 hours or so, and if you fell down the social media rabbit hole, you probably know why.
For those who are blissfully unaware, allow us to break it down for you. Twitter user @rbaylor_74 posted a lengthy video showcasing a fight between a group of guests and Waffle House staff at one of the 24-hour restaurant's locations in Austin.
Though brawls at Waffle House are nothing new, this particular one stood out due to the skillful response of one staff member in particular.
After some hair-grabbing and punch-throwing, the group of rowdy guests starts to make their overdue exit when one woman decides to really test the "mess around find out" waters by aggressively throwing chairs at Waffle House employees behind the counter.
To much disbelief, the targeted employee swats the chair away with her next level reflexes, as onlookers are heard yelling "oooooh!" in the background.
Now that the video has made its rounds online, many Twitter users are comparing her skillful response to that of a superhero, with one user tweeting "That white girl is an Avenger bro," while civil rights attorney Scott Hechinger wrote, "I’ve come to the conclusion that this was no fight. This was the global coronation of a new superhero. 'Waffle House Girl.'"
The spot-on comparisons didn't end there, either.

Though the Waffle House employee in question has yet to be publicly identified, it hasn't halted social media users from listing off comparisons within, and outside, the superhero world.
Twitter user and writer @juliemuncy23 complimented the chain due to the employee's attention-grabbing skill set: "waffle house is the greatest restaurant chain on earth because it's delicious, open all the time, and every employee is a john wick in the making just waiting for their activation phrase."
"The US Military has many branches defending our country," Comedian Brad Williams tweeted. "Army, Navy, Marines, Air Force, Waffle House Employees."
One user even pointed out how the clip has oddly unified people as 2022 nears its end: "The internet collectively coming together to talk about the superpowers of the girl in the Waffle House fight video is somehow the right way to end 2022."
Whether you think the Waffle House employee is a superhero in training or not, one thing's for sure: she and her coworkers deserve a raise.
