Python wrangler poses with his catch, but the situation quickly turns deadly dangerous!
North Lakes, Australia - This rescue operation got dangerously out of hand!
According to the Sun, a woman in North Lakes, Australia called snake catcher Josh Castle for help after last Saturday discovering a large carpet python in her garden.
The professional went straight to work upon arrival and even brought along a camerawoman to film everything. At first, things went according to plan: Josh managed to locate the snake in a bush and bravely grabbed it by the head.
Then the Australian slowly pulled the animal out and placed its body on his shoulder. Gently, the snake catcher walked with the reptile towards the back patio of the house.
Josh was just posing for his YouTube channel, called JC's Catch And Release, when his catch started wrapping itself ever tighter around the Josh's neck.
Customer screams in panic
The situation progressively got more out of hand when the python targeted the man's face and suddenly coiled back and then snapped at Josh's temple.
His customer screamed in panic as Josh tried to unwrap the reptile from around his neck as quickly as possible. Visibly shaken, though maintaining an impressive sense of calm, Josh managed to free himself and lowered the python towards the ground.
After realizing he overdid it with the posing, he wrapped up the python and drove away with his camerawoman. Later, the professional released the animal in a safe place.
On his Instagram channel Saturday, Castle wrote, "Check out the size of this beast! One solid carpet python! 😍🐍We received a call to Northlakes to relocated this big bad boy! Even had a crack at my face!!"
Next time Josh will probably make sure he's in a safer position before he starts recording!
