Giant python swallows woman after disturbing discovery reveals the truth

Sumatra, Indonesia - The remains of a missing woman were shockingly found inside a 23-foot-long python, as the moment was captured by in a disturbing video.

The 54-year-old victim named Jahrah was working on a rubber plantation in the province of Jambi on the island of Sumatra in Indonesia when she was met an untimely fate.

When she didn't return from work as usual on Sunday, her husband reported her missing.

According to reports from local police, his initial search found his wife's sandals, jacket, headscarf, and equipment – but no sign of her.

He then put together a team of volunteers to look further, and they made an unlikely discovery in the woods.

On Monday morning, the group spotted a 23-foot-long python with a swollen stomach nearby, and had an unsettling feeling.

A video of the incident from local volunteers allegedly shows the group cutting open the animal and revealing the missing woman's remains.

"We found the victim’s body in the snake’s stomach," a local police chief explained, according to reports.

Experts believe Jahrah must have suffered a long and painful death, and suspect the animal suffocated her by wrapping itself around her before swallowing her. The event could have taken hours.

Previous incidents of people being killed and devoured by snakes were reported in Indonesia in 2017 and 2018.
