Woman has dog stolen in broad daylight – 13 years later, she gets a miraculous call

Nashville, Tennessee - Karen Fox never forgot the traumatic day when a stranger stopped his SUV in front of her Nashville home, stole her beloved dog, Connor, from the front yard.

For weeks on end, the woman and her husband desperately searched for their lost four-legged friend. But their efforts were unsuccessful as the robber left no traces behind.

The two mourning owners thought they had lost their much-loved pooch forever.

It wasn't until 13 years later that the heart-breaking story took a sudden turn.

Karen Fox couldn't believe her luck earlier this month when she got a voicemail from the company that owned the microchip she had placed in the dog. They told her that someone had brought in a dog named Connor. A second call followed, from Nashville’s animal shelter on March 4, telling her someone had brought the dog in after finding it wandering the street – a miracle!

The dog's long-lost family were stunned with shock from the news. Could it really be their Connor?

Connor remembered everything

For the next part of the story, you'd better grab your tissues: because as soon as Karen arrived at the shelter, Connor rushed up to his beloved human and snuggled up on her lap as if nothing ever happened!

The loyal pet even remembered his old favorite spots in his family's house. It seems like the little rascal spent the last 13 years waiting to return to his loved ones. Karen certainly felt the same way – "We have some catching up to do," she was quoted as saying by the Metro Nashville Animal Care and Control.

One thing has changed, however: Karen's husband sadly passed away four years ago and never got to witness his beloved dog's return.
