Lap dog of luxury: meet the UK's most pampered pooch!
Cornwall, UK - A dachshund who refuses to walk in the rain and is too fine for five-star hotels has been crowned the UK's most pampered pup.
Going for a walk in inclement weather? An absolute no-go! The new Porsche Cayenne's loud engine? Even worse!
Louis the dog is more content with the new Mercedes E Class – it's quieter and doesn't upset him so much.
Little Louis really knows exactly what he wants, and he makes no secret of it.
The fact that Louis' parents, Charlotte Thomson (33) and Joey Auger (41), have to dig deeper into their pockets from time to time is of no concern to the "sensitive little soul," as his mother affectionately calls him.
It's no wonder the family holiday turned out to be a lot more expensive than planned. Charlotte and Joey had originally booked five-star hotels for their extended tour around Europe.
The couple soon realized that this was not at all to Louis' taste because he started to growl at every person who came near him.
So the picky pooch's humans spared no expense and rebooked their nights to stay in luxury 15-bed villas with swimming pools instead – at the considerable price of almost $70,000.
Dog owner insists: we aren't "flash"!
"Louis is a proper little diva dog," Charlotte revealed to the Daily Star, "he gets upset easily, but he knows I'll always protect him and look after him, we've just got that bond."
Although the couple spent a boatload of money on the three-month trip, Charlotte insists they aren't "flash."
Every penny was worth it, she said. In nearly twelve weeks, they visited Paris, Pisa, Florence, and Rome, among other places, and had the time of their lives – always with Prince Louis by their side, of course.
"We took Louis because I couldn't cope being without him," the 33-year-old said.
Of course, the little dachshund wore matching coats, bandanas, and collars for every occasion – anything else would have been beneath him.
