International Dog Day is observed annually on August 26 to honor four-legged friends of all shapes and sizes.

The day also seeks to encourage adoption for pups in shelters or those who need to be rehomed, and provides resources for pet owners.

The day was founded in 2004, and was even officially written into New York State legislation in 2013.

To add some extra delight to the holiday, we've rounded up our top dog viral videos to bring some paw-some fun. Go fetch!

Sleepy dog falls asleep in the car

Looks like humans aren't the only ones who get sleepy on a long car ride!

This sweet video of a Golden Retriever dosing off is proof that pooches get rocked to sleep when sitting in the back seat too:

This super wrinkled dog is a curious character

One Shar Pei is a curious character, who lights up TikTok with his fun antics.

Billie's account says he's just living his best life "while trying to make you smile."

The captions on the extra-wrinkly dog's vids detail his supposed thoughts, and they never cease to bring a grin to his 39,000 followers.

Here's one that's popping off, and we can't get enough of:

Service dogs are one-of-a-kind loves

Service dogs remind us that pups are not only cuddle buddies, but can be little miracle workers, too.

Mila "the hearing dog" helps her owner Mary, who is deaf, go about daily tasks that would be even more challenging without her pup's help.

"I'm deaf and my service dog alerts me to sounds that I might not hear myself," Mary said.

Mila also has her share of fun, as more videos show her playing in the sun and sand with other furry friends.

Check out this little love:

With these dog videos, you're sure to have an International Dog Day that's not so ruff at all!
