Lulu, an eight-year-old border collie was well-loved by her late owner Bill Dorris (†84).

As News Channel 5 reported, Doris loved his dog so much that he left her a whopping $5 million!

Bill, who passed away late last year, was a successful businessman. He was unmarried and had no children, but he did leave behind his dog Lulu.

But Lulu didn't even spend most of her time with Bill. In fact, the pooch lives mostly with Bill's friend Martha Burton (88), who has been her main caregiver for years as Bill traveled the world for business.

Before his death, Bill made absolutely sure that his beloved Lulu would be well taken care of for the rest of her life : he set up a trust for the pup.

Martha didn't have any explanation for Bill's strange will: "I don't really know what to think about it to tell you the truth. He just really loved the dog."

But Martha isn't planning on drastically changing Lulu's lifestyle with luxury purchases like a gold dog bowl or a diamond-studded collar.

The will stipulates, "This trust is to provide for all the needs of Lulu. The dog will remain in possession of Martha Burton."

In fact, Martha doesn't think she will even be able to spend such a huge sum on Lulu, but she told New Channel 5, "Well, I'd like to try."

Neither Lulu nor Martha will have direct access to the $5 million because the trust will be managed by a conservator.

It also remains to be seen if Lulu really is a multi-millionaire because the estate is still in probate, and it is unclear how much Bill was actually worth.

But Lulu hasn't let her impending riches go to her head, and she's still doing the thing she loves most: guarding the front yard.
