On January 18, the Cocker Spaniel Daisy was stolen in broad daylight right in front of her owner's house.

It was around 8:50 AM as the dog was being bundled into a white van. Everything was filmed by a neighbor's dash cam.

Nash was absolutely devastated and wrote an emotional Facebook post addressed to Daisy's abductors.

"PLEASE if you are the van driver who took Daisy from Hollingbourne yesterday let us have her back. She has been our pride and joy through lockdown. We rescued her as an ex-breeding bitch. She can be of no value to you."

"We live just 2 doors from where you picked her up ... You can drop her off whenever and wherever you like. We are in our 80s. Please have a heart."

As reported by Euro Weekly, the theft was referred to the local police and Inspector Steve Kent was deeply concerned.

"The loss of a pet has a devastating effect on victims and our officers will pursue all potential lines of enquiry to recover a dog", he said.

"It is very sad that she has suddenly been snatched from her new and loving family and we want to get her back."

Finally, on Tuesday evening, Pam Nash updated her Facebook friends with some great news:

"It is true! Daisy is back with family. A huge THANK YOU to everyone for all your support. Looking forward to the walks."

It seems like the persistent searching paid off. The 76-year-old did not reveal how the cocker spaniel got back.

Police have launched an investigation into the case but have not yet been able to locate the thieves.
