Sometimes, the stars align in a life-saving way. Such was the case when one woman arrived at an animal shelter as a sweet pup was getting carted off to be euthanized.

In a video posted on Twitter by The Dodo, the woman said the moment she saw the dog being wheeled away, "I knew what I had to do," and swiftly adopted him.

Though the woman was told Wyatt was unable to walk on a leash as she shared via Instagram that he was hit by a truck and suffered two broken hips, she quickly found that was not the case.

"He was seconds away from being put to sleep, and he was such a good dog," she said in the video.

But Wyatt's life soon took a positive turn when he was introduced to her other dog Scooty, who was mostly paralyzed in her back legs and used a scooter-like contraption to help her run.

It didn't take Wyatt long to warm up to Scooty, and he quickly became her biggest fan and supporter during physical therapy sessions.

Even when the two canine pals were out exploring the world, their owner told The Dodo, "No matter how far Wyatt goes away from Scooty, he always circles back to make sure she's OK."

Not only that, but Wyatt seems to have a knack for constantly bringing Scooty "gifts," like her harness and her dog bed.

The two puppy pals are well known in the area they live in, and have even bonded with another resident in the apartment complex they live in named Victor. He's become such a huge part of the dogs' lives, that he even buys them their own treats!

If that's not a story that pulls at your heartstrings, we don't know what is!
