Dog has heartbreaking reaction to distressed cat on TV

Maine - A born rescue dog! Kola the Labrador seems to care about everyone's safety, including virtual cats. When her owner tried out a new video game, Kola has a violent and touching reaction to the lost cat.

Jenn Tenczar actually just wanted to play Stray, a game where you dive as a cat into an unknown underworld.

At the beginning of the game, there's a clip where the cat tries to jump from pipe to pipe, but crashes.

As she plays the game, Jenn's dog Kola is watching intently per a video posted on TikTok. When the cat falls from the pipe and gets stuck on a ledge, Kola straightens up in a very intense and serious manner.

At first, the orange cat in the game frantically paws at the ledge. But after a few frantic seconds, it falls down into the foggy abyss.

This was clearly too much for Kola, and as soon as the cat starts to fall, the falling feline jumps up from the sofa and dashes towards the TV.

Of course, she can't help the virtual animal and therefore just stands in front of the screen with immense confusion.

The video, which has now been viewed more than 4.4 million times, has thrilled many users of the platform beyond measure.

"Not all heroes wear capes," wrote one user. "The dog is probably a good companion."

Another worried about Kola's well-being: "The dog now has to live with the fact that he saw a cat fall to its death, which is traumatizing," they commented.

However, the dog's owner, Jenn, was quick to clear that up:"Thank God she [the cat] survived and the world was whole again," she replied.

However, Kola does not only care about virtual animals. In a different video, you can see her desperately trying to save a human from a lake – even though he is just swimming normally.
