Dog develops adorable relationship with school bus driver!
Internet - It's an established tradition: five days a week, this cute blue nosed pit bull picks up her owner's son from the school bus – and stops to greet a very special friend.
Lucy is an incredibly social dog who takes every person into her heart instantly.
Her owner's five-year-old son has a very special place in there, and she begins to miss him terribly as soon as he's not around.
The two love to spend their time together, going for long walks, cuddling, and playing fetch.
As soon as it's time for him to go to preschool in the morning, Lucy walks her best friend to the school bus, where she sends him on his way, and then waits patiently for him to come back to her.
When the bus finally stops in front of the family's house in the afternoon, the excited pooch can't wait to run outside and greet her best friend with a wagging tail.
It's a tradition that soon helped Lucy make a new buddy: the school bus driver!
On Instagram, Lucy's mom shared a video of the cute routine
Dog Lucy and the bus driver have become real friends!
"One day she ran all the way onto the bus to follow her brother and got to know the bus driver," Miranda Peterson, Lucy's owner, told The Dodo.
Saying hello to the driver quickly became a regular part of Lucy's daily routine, in addition to mothering her little boy, of course.
Now, instead of always just taking the five-year-old to the bus and then picking him up, she also pays a visit to the man behind the wheel every day.
It almost seems as if Lucy is always thanking him for taking such good care of her little friend when she can't be there.
