British Airways accidentally sends Tennessee family's dog to Saudi Arabia

Brentwood, Tennessee - A family was hit with an unwelcome surprise after an airline informed them after landing that their dog was accidentally sent to Saudi Arabia.

As James and Madison Miller arrived at Nashville International Airport following their flight from London, they stopped by customs to pick up their Black Labrador rescue dog named Bluebell.

"When I walked into the office everyone went totally white," Madison told The Sun.

Instead of Bluebell, the couple were given a cockapoo pup that definitely was not theirs.

"The people at [British Airways] looked up what happened, and I couldn't believe it when they said, 'well, we've sent your dog to Saudi Arabia,'" Madison explained.

"We wanted our Bluebell not a little golden dog," she added.

The lab, who had already flown over 3,000 miles to Saudi Arabia, then had to fly 10,000 to get home to Tennessee, spending a total of 60 hours in lock up.

The Millers told The Mirror that Bluebell, upon his return, had been "traumatized," exhibiting out of character behavior such as destroying parts of their new Tennessee home.

"We're working closely with a vet team and behaviorist to help calm her anxiety, and she's on anxiety medication three times a day," James shared. "But we don’t know if she'll ever be the same. It's breaking our hearts."

The Miller family are demanding that British Airways pay for the medication and rehabilitation for Bluebell.
