Alabama - "Scaredy-cat" – or dog!

Like with "the man behind the curtain", a dog behind some drapery uncovered that his fear was a just a facade after all.

Maylyn Darrow from Alabama had decorated her apartment to celebrate with her husband.

The 25-year-old decided to hang up a blue tinsel curtain in their hallway, since her hubby had passed an important exam, she told the Daily Mail.

After 30 minutes, the dog owner realized that her pet Winston had been steering clear of the area.

The Cavapoo was cowering behind the streamer curtain and would not walk through it!

The singer-songwriter reached for her cell phone to capture the hilarity, as Winston appeared confused and afraid of the new "border."

She later posted the puppy's plight to the delight of more than three million TikTok viewers.

"Winston that's not a door. You can come through that," Maylyn laughs and tells her dog in the TikTok clip.

The four-legged friend continued to distrust his owner in the video.

Despite her coaxing with his favorite snack – a piece of cheese – Maylyn cannot lure Winston to the tinsel's other side. The dog even licks his lips and drools over the treat, but will not brave the barrier to get it.

With TikTokers in suspense, it wasn't until a second clip was posted the next day that they saw the little dog overcome his fear. Not only did Maylyn use more cheese, but she parted the tinsel herself.

Winston soon realized there was no danger from the streamers, as he tentatively poked his nose through the hanging decoration and gobbled up the cheese. The end of the second video then cuts to the furry pup later running through the tinsel without hesitation.

"I am a bit blown away by how viral the video went!" said Maylyn.

The two clips together have generated more than 650,000 likes and thousands of comments.

"Dogs have the weirdest fears," one user commented. "So cute."

"Silly Winston!" said another.

Since facing his fears, the silly puppy looks like he'll run through anything to get to some cheesy treats.
