Tyler Nock describes his cat as "very affectionate," mainly because Toulouse continuously follows him around the house, purring and rubbing up against his legs - even in the bathroom!

Toulouse has been known to crash Zoom meetings when his owner is working from home, to lay on top of Nock on the couch or in bed, and is always begging to be pet and held.

Their cuddly companionship has been documented on the industrial designer's Instagram page, and he has even made a separate account just for Toulouse!

Toulouse struggled with separation anxiety

When Tyler Nock realized that Toulouse truly needed to be by his side 24/7, though, he thought there might be something else that his cat was missing.

Toulouse has solely trusted Tyler since he was a kitten, and has always struggled to be alone. Now, Tyler Nock has realized that there is a reason for the unrelenting behavior: His cat was battling a severe case of separation anxiety.

Any time Tyler would go to work, he'd leave activities to occupy Toulouse, like a scratching post or toy balls to play with. Yet, the owner felt that he needed to give his cat even more comfort and company.

"After doing a lot of research about Toulouse’s separation anxiety, I decided to add a kitten to the family," Tyler said on his Instagram.

A new kitty enters the household, to keep Toulouse company

Tyler Nock decided to adopt Tibbs, a new kitty, who turned out to be extremely energetic and quickly became a good distraction for the older cat.

"Toulouse is very hesitant right now, but every day he becomes more and more intrigued and comfortable with the kitten!" Tyler said. "They’ll be besties in no time."

The two curious cats are now capturing the hearts of fans on TikTok and Facebook with their cute fights and playful adventures.

Tyler Nock hopes that by adding a new companion to their family, Toulouse will feel even more supported – and always have a friend by his side.
