Kitty see, kitty do: copy cat imitates everything his owner does!

Portland, Oregon – Curiosity is supposed to be bad for cats. But Scout is so captivated by everything his owner Susan does, he just can't help following along!

Susan, a TikTok user from Portland, published a video at the beginning of April showing how her cat hilariously imitates her!

In the clip, Scout watches Susan carefully as she brushes her hair. Then the furry feline lifts her front paws and runs them over her own head, as if trying to groom her fur in the same way!

The video quickly went viral, racking up 7.7 million views. People were amazed at the house cat's unusual behavior.

"Ok so you get your paws...uh huh...and then you just...like this?"

"I would simply die for this cat," one user wrote, and many others seemed to agree.

The Daily Mail reported that there is only one other cat who was scientifically proven to be mimicking human behaviors.

In October 2020, a kitty is said to have shown the ability to copy its owner's behavior for the first time in an experiment at the Eötvös Loránd University in Hungary. The animal was conditioned to receive treats when it imitated its trainer.

The 11-year-old cat Ebisu eventually played along, but Susan doesn't seem to have trained Scout.

On her TikTok account, Susan revealed that Scout lost her mom at a very early age, so maybe that's why he's so attached to his new mother.

In any case, this copy cat seems pretty clever!
