Cat with extra-large nose stuns rescuers after extraordinary discovery!
Warrington, UK - There's more to this unusual British cat with a seemingly big nose than meets the eye!
As animal welfare activists from Cats Protection announced on Facebook, Nanny McPhee recently arrived at a home in Warrington, England.
According to a post, the four-year-old cat originally came into the organization's care because her former owners had to give her up for health and financial reasons.
According to the BBC, upon the kitten's arrival, staff members first noted that she had "just had a rather large nose," but upon closer examination, they were completely stunned to discover that the four-legged friend actually has two olfactory organs to call her own - ever since she was born!
Fiona Brockbank, the lead veterinarian on site, said the unusual discovery was a first, adding, "This is a real rarity and, thankfully, it isn't causing her any problems at all."
Staff at the shelter fell "in love" with their "one-of-a-kind" kitten, according to shelter director Lindsay Kerr.
But it'll soon be time to say goodbye because according to the organization's website, Nanny McPhee is now "reserved" and will likely have a new home soon.
