Cat rolls its way into TikTok stardom with fancy footwork!

Vancouver, Canada - Simply walking down the stairs is too pedestrian for this cat. She wants attention, which is why she goes down the stairs in her own special way that has caught the attention of TikTokers far and wide.

A tabby cat named Posey went viral last week with a clip that shows how she goes down the stairs.

Posey doesn't walk. Rather, this cat rolls, slides, and thumps herself down the stairs.

This feline's fantastic feat isn't a new trick, and that's exactly why her TikTok account is called rolyposey.

This silly stair slide is just how Posey rolls.

In a post on her Instagram account, Posey's owner explained that the cat's moves originated from play time on the stairs. "Posey’s #Rolyposey moves started when she was 7 months old (6 years ago!) by having fun playing with toys on the stairs just like this. She still can’t help herself when there’s a crinkle involved"

TikTok users were in awe of Posey, and couldn't help but to gush over the cat in the comments.

This cat was made for rolling

In the comments section of the viral clip, thousands of TikTok users called the cat "cute," though some aren't so sure this critter on the stairs is a cat: "That's not a cat!! That's an adorable slinky."

Posey's rolls and flops may have you wondering if this kind of cat creativity is at all normal. Per the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), most of the odd behavior humans see in cats is actually normal for them. But, the ASPCA does not explicitly say if rolling and flopping down the stairs is normal.

According to Posey's owner, her pet does it for fun and attention. She loves to have her human watch her roll. But it seems to be just this cat's thing. Posey is one of three rescue cats, and she's the only one who goes down the stairs this artistically.

Whatever the reason for this cat's stair antics, it is adorable and well worth watching!
